2019 MN Nice Project - STEP

In 2018, we had the privilege of partnering with Children's Minnesota through our Minnesota Nice Project. This led to guest appearances on the hospitals TV channel (Star Studio), participating in live “fashion runway shows” and the BeanBoozled taste-testing game. We also had the chance to connect with patients’ families by providing meals at their Ronald MacDonald house. Through our collaborative MN Nice Project hats, Omni Brewery’s Sota Smash, and donating a portion of proceeds from select sota clothing’s events throughout 2018, we were able to donate a total of $19,000 to Children’s Cancer Kids Fund. A fund that meets the emotional, spiritual, and financial needs for both patients and their families.

We have dreams of making a similar impact in 2019, but this time bringing it closer to home. Right across from our new address is STEP (St. Louis Park Emergency Program). STEP’s vision has remained consistent since its 1975 establishment by local faith communities: to identify, address and respond to the critical and emergency needs of residents in St. Louis Park. Being the community’s only food shelf, the social service agency has grown from serving 300 people in its first year to now just under 4,000 per year.

At sota clothing, we’ve gone back to the drawing board and created a strategy for partnering in our time and talent in order to strengthen STEP’s influence and impact as a restorative presence within our community. Now we are extending the invite, asking you to join us in our 2019 MN Nice Project.
